About

Hello,

I'm Harry and I'm passionate about Martial Arts - Filipino Martial Arts in particular!

I'm a martial arts student of more than 15 years, and have been coaching for more than 10 years, specialising in the Filipino Martial Arts of Kali, Panantukan and Sikaran.

I have earned two second degree black belts - in Kali Sikaran, and Team Phoenix Kali Blend - and I have trained extensively in Muay Thai and Jeet Kune Do (JKD).  I have experience (about a year in each) with Olympic Wrestling, Boxing, Shoot Wrestling, and Capoeira.

Although Filipino Martial Arts is my favourite, all of these arts have influenced me to some degree as a practitioner and coach.

I've also been awarded Kali Sikaran Instructor of the Year, which you can learn more about in this video:

On top of that, I'm a no stripe white belt in BJJ, as my own drive to learn and improve is relentless!

You may have guessed this already, but I'm a nerd at heart.  I try to channel this in order to both understand and EXPLAIN complicated martial-art-y things in a really simple, step by step manner, making sure that anyone can understand them.

I'm a busy dad of two young whirlwinds (who I wouldn't change for the world) and I completely understand the competing time pressures we are all under.

Regardless of whether you're a parent or not, there never seems to be enough seconds per minute, minutes per hour, nor hours per day!

Whatever fleeting seconds we can grasp hold of, we had better make them all count.

I create videos and courses that help anyone who is looking to learn Filipino Martial Arts.

Whether you're an instructor looking to level up your classes, just starting out with a study group, or learning on your own - I've got something to help you out.

Take care and speak soon,

Harry Flexman
